BioAxis NeuroMap Advanced

Comprehensive Neurotransmitter Test – 4-Point Urine Analysis

The BioAxis NeuroMap Advanced Profile is a four-point urine neurotransmitter test designed to assess biochemical markers associated with mood, stress response, sleep regulation, and cognitive function.

This advanced neurotransmitter panel measures twelve key neurotransmitters and related metabolites, providing insight into the biochemical patterns that influence emotional balance, resilience, and mental performance.

Unlike purely symptom-based approaches, this test provides objective laboratory data to help guide personalised lifestyle and nutritional strategies.

What Is a Neurotransmitter Test?

Neurotransmitters are chemical messengers that allow brain cells and nerve cells to communicate.

They influence:

  • Mood and emotional regulation

  • Stress response

  • Sleep cycles

  • Focus and cognitive clarity

  • Appetite and metabolic signalling

  • Hormonal interaction

  • Pain perception

The NeuroMap Advanced test evaluates neurotransmitter metabolites excreted in urine, offering insight into biochemical activity across multiple pathways.

How the BioAxis NeuroMap Test Works

✔️ Four urine samples collected in one day✔️ Collected at home✔️ Non-invasive and simple✔️ Analysed by an accredited laboratory

The four-point collection allows assessment across different times of day, helping identify pattern fluctuations rather than a single static measurement.

What This Test Measures

The NeuroMap Advanced Profile assesses:

  • Serotonin

  • GABA

  • Dopamine

  • Noradrenaline

  • Adrenaline

  • Glutamate

  • Phenylethylamine (PEA)

  • Glycine

  • Histamine

  • DOPAC

  • HVA

  • VMA

  • Normetanephrines

  • Excitatory/Inhibitory balance ratios

These markers provide insight into functional patterns associated with mood regulation, stress physiology, and cognitive signalling.

Why Consider Neurotransmitter Testing?

Mental health and mood regulation are influenced by complex biochemical pathways.

Traditional approaches often rely on subjective symptom reporting alone. While this may be helpful, objective biochemical data can provide additional clarity when exploring patterns related to:

  • Persistent low mood

  • Anxiety or stress reactivity

  • Sleep disruption

  • Cognitive fatigue

  • Brain fog

  • Emotional variability

Neurotransmitter testing may help identify biochemical imbalances and allow practitioners to monitor changes over time during lifestyle or nutritional interventions.

What Makes This Profile Advanced?

The BioAxis NeuroMap Advanced report includes:

  • Multi-point daily assessment

  • Correlation analysis aligning symptoms with laboratory markers

  • Clear graphical representation of neurotransmitter patterns

  • Structured interpretation written in plain English

  • Objective monitoring framework for follow-up testing

This approach supports a more data-informed strategy rather than a purely trial-and-error model.

    • Failure to follow instructions

    • Insufficient sample volume

    • Contamination

    • Delayed return outside the acceptable processing window the test will be deemed invalid.

In such cases, a new test must be purchased to proceed. BioAxis does not offer complimentary re-testing for invalid samples.

    Laboratory Processing

All laboratory analysis is conducted by accredited third-party laboratories. Once a sample has been received or processing has commenced, no refunds, cancellations, or changes can be made.
