What's included in each test?
Organic Acids
Test
Organic acids are by-products of cellular metabolism and provide a functional window into how efficiently your body is producing energy, detoxifying, managing nutrients, and maintaining biochemical balance. When metabolic pathways are under strain or blocked, this can influence energy levels, cognitive function, immune health, oxidative stress, and overall resilience. The Organic Acids Metabolomic Profile offers a comprehensive assessment of key metabolic markers from a single urine sample. By evaluating patterns across multiple biochemical pathways, this test helps identify functional nutrient needs, including vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and important metabolic cofactors such as CoQ10, lipoic acid, carnitine, and NAC. It also provides insight into antioxidant demand and potential oxidative stress burden. In addition, the profile assesses mitochondrial energy production, methylation status, detoxification capacity, neurotransmitter metabolism, oxalate metabolism, and markers suggestive of bacterial or yeast overgrowth. Children’s reference ranges are included where appropriate to support more accurate paediatric evaluation. Rather than relying on symptom-based assumptions alone, this metabolomic analysis helps guide targeted nutritional and lifestyle strategies tailored to the individual, allowing practitioners to monitor progress and optimise metabolic function over time. Collection Method: Single urine sample (at-home collection)
MTHFR
Test
Methylation is one of the body’s core biochemical processes — helping regulate how you convert folate (vitamin B9) into usable forms, recycle homocysteine, support detoxification pathways, and produce key neurotransmitters involved in mood, focus, and sleep. Because methylation sits upstream of so many systems, even small inefficiencies can show up as fatigue, brain fog, poor stress tolerance, inflammation, or difficulty responding to supplements. This test looks at your MTHFR gene, which can influence how efficiently your body processes folate and supports methylation. Understanding your MTHFR status can help you make more informed decisions about nutrition and supplementation (for example, folate forms and B-vitamin support), and can be especially relevant for people with a family history of cardiovascular issues, unexplained symptoms, or those planning pregnancy and wanting to optimise preconception nutrition. Collection Method: At-home cheek swab (DNA sample collected in under 2 minutes)
Neurotransmitter Activity Test
Neurotransmitters are the body’s chemical messengers — regulating mood, stress response, sleep quality, cognitive performance, appetite, glucose balance, pain perception, and overall nervous system stability. When neurotransmitter activity is disrupted, symptoms such as anxiety, low mood, irritability, fatigue, poor concentration, sleep disturbance, and reduced stress resilience can emerge. The Neurotransmitter – Advanced Profile provides a comprehensive assessment of twelve key neurotransmitters and their metabolites, including serotonin, dopamine, GABA, noradrenaline, adrenaline, glutamate, glycine, histamine, PEA, DOPAC, HVA, VMA and normetanephrines. By measuring activity across multiple pathways, this test helps identify specific biochemical patterns rather than relying on symptom-based assumptions alone. Unlike a trial-and-error approach, objective neurotransmitter testing offers insight into underlying functional imbalances. This allows practitioners to better correlate symptoms with measurable data, personalise intervention strategies, and monitor therapeutic progress over time. Each report includes a detailed correlation analysis section that links patient symptom patterns with laboratory findings to assist in targeted clinical decision-making. Collection Method: At-home four-point urine test (four samples collected across one day)
